Additional Valuation Protection
If you’d like protection above the legal minimum valuation, Additional Valuation Protection will increase your declared Full-Value Protection amount when you purchase any package.
Claims Assist
If you need to make a claim for loss or damage, contact Mayflower within 30 days of delivery. After an in-person or online assessment, we’ll help you complete your claim form, have repairs made, or discuss replacement options.
Debris Removal
Don’t want to deal with post-move debris? Just contact us within 30 days after delivery, and we’ll pick up your empty moving cartons and packing material waste.
Are we late? We’ll pay you.
If Dodge picks up or delivers your belongings after your scheduled move date, we’ll compensate you for the delay: $100 for each day after the scheduled pickup or delivery of your household goods. With most packages, you can increase this amount to $250 per day.
Gold Standard Protection®
This value-added service enhances our standard coverage for your possessions. Once you choose your level of Full-Value Protection, you can also receive protection for Pairs and Sets, Mechanical Malfunction, or Acts of God.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kinds of packing services/materials do you offer?
We provide both full packing and partial packing options, which can be tailored to your needs during the survey with one of our estimators. Full packing is a bit pricier but takes the hassle of packing off your plate. If you prefer to handle some of the packing yourself, our partial pack option might be a better fit.
Will you get rid of furniture I don’t want to take?
Our movers usually do not handle the disposal of items not included in the shipment. However, in certain cases, we can provide this service for an additional charge. If the driver is unable to dispose of the items, we can schedule a local crew to come by and pick up the items you don’t wish to move, whether for disposal or donation.
What should I do if I have food I don't want to move?
Contact your move coordinator. We’re glad to help by taking that off your hands! We collaborate with Move for Hunger and donate any food items to the St. Louis Food Bank.
Will my crew at origin be my crew at destination?
Usually not. Drivers tend to rely on local crews for help, as most don’t travel with their own partners or teams. Mayflower has agencies nationwide, providing drivers with reliable, background-checked crews for loading and delivery assistance.
How long will my load take?
The amount your shipment weighs will determine the time needed, and it can vary depending on the crew. However, a driver and their team typically move around 2000-2500 lbs per hour.
What items are not allowed to move?
We are unable to ship anything flammable, perishable or live. This includes, but is not limited to, ammunition and harsh chemicals, foods from the fridge and freezer, and animals and plants. For a more comprehensive prohibited items list, please contact your move coordinator.
What is a virtual pre-move survey?
A virtual pre-move survey works the same way as a traditional in-home survey. It allows us to assess the volume and type of belongings you’re moving. Using your smartphone or tablet, our surveyor guides you through the process to evaluate the size and number of items that need to fit in a truck or container.
I was given a delivery spread. What does that mean?
A delivery spread outlines the delivery of goods over a specified period provided by your estimator. Delivery will be made within the spread given to you. This allows us to manage your and other moves properly. Your coordinator will keep you updated throughout the move.
What time will the packers/driver arrive on move dates?
Your move coordinator will provide a two-hour time window the afternoon before services are scheduled to begin. This allows you to plan accordingly and ensures that you have a clear understanding of when the moving team will arrive.
